Loyalty Partner Solutions to Power China Southern Airlines Frequent Flyer Program with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

CSA is based in Guangzhou and carries more than 100 million passengers a year, making it Asia's biggest airline and the fifth largest in the world. The company launched the tender offer in July 2015 and invited a number of international software providers to take part. The consortium of HPE and LPS was retained against strong competition.

CSA currently operates the fast-growing Sky Pearl bonus program, which already has more than 26 million members. "The rapid pace of market growth and our company's plans for expansion make it necessary to upgrade to a modern software solution", said Mr. Wu, SVP, Marketing Division at CSA. "We looking forward to working with our new partners and are convinced that with the new platform we will have our ambitious tasks fully under control in the future. We found the performance of the Loyalty Management Suite from LPS and HPE's competence in the airline business to be a compelling proposition."

LPS is supplying the software and a project team, which will advise CSA on the optimal configuration of the software to meet its requirements and also provide know-how to support the HPE implementation team. HPE China is responsible for integrating the software into the existing IT architecture and migrating customer and transaction data. HPE is the transformation partner of choice for LPS, because of its strong expertise in delivering solutions to the travel and transportation industry. 

The project launched in February with a joint project team from the three companies meeting for a three-week training and knowledge transfer session at LPS in Munich.
